80 Acres Farms Unveils New Salad Kits in Expanding Grab-and-Go Range

80 Acres Farms, an Ohio-based innovator in the vertical farming industry, announced the introduction of two new products within its clean, pesticide-free salad kit lineup. Named "Hail, Caesar!" and "Zing N' Zen," these latest additions are now available at roughly 200 Kroger locations in Cincinnati and Columbus, with plans to distribute across the eastern United States by this summer.

The company highlights its "Hail, Caesar!" kit as a unique take on the classic salad, incorporating romaine lettuce, parmesan, croutons, along with chickpeas and hearts of palm. Meanwhile, "Zing N' Zen" marks the firm’s first venture into vegan options, featuring a mix of greens, cashews, sesame sticks, and gingered vegetables. Both kits use dressings from the recently acquired Mother Raw® brand, emphasizing the integrated approach to offering healthier, ready-to-eat choices for consumers on the move.

According to Grant Rice, the Vice President of Sales, the introduction of these kits responds to a growing consumer demand for convenient, health-focused meal options. Since their initial product launch in September 2023, 80 Acres Farms has seen its distribution footprint grow to over 1,000 retail locations, aided by positive feedback on its commitment to "no artificial anything" and pesticide-free ingredients.

The acquisition of the Mother Raw® salad dressing line is anticipated to bolster the company’s product development and expansion efforts, building upon its mission to deliver high-standard, sustainable food products.
