Abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Income Fund Announces Tender Offer Results
On February 21, 2025, Abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE American: AEF) disclosed the preliminary results of its cash tender offer. The offer aimed to repurchase up to 10,150,355 shares, representing about 20% of the Fund's outstanding shares, and expired on February 20, 2025.
Approximately 36,731,570 shares, equating to 72.4% of the Fund's outstanding stock, were tendered by the deadline. Given the oversubscription, the purchase of shares will be prorated according to the number of shares tendered by each shareholder. The accepted shares will be bought at 98% of the Fund's net asset value as of February 21, 2025. Final figures will be confirmed later.
