Adidas Reports Strong Fourth Quarter and Annual Growth

Adidas AG revealed preliminary financial outcomes for the fourth quarter of 2024, showcasing impressive growth. Currency-neutral revenues rose by 19%, with actual revenues in euros increasing by 24% to €5,965 million compared to €4,812 million in 2023. Excluding Yeezy sales, the revenue increase remained strong at 18%. The company's gross margin improved significantly by 5.2 percentage points, reaching 49.8% from a previous 44.6%. Operating profit for the quarter shifted positively to €57 million, a notable turnaround from a €377 million loss in the same period last year.

For the full year of 2024, Adidas reported a 12% rise in currency-neutral revenues and an 11% increase in euro terms, reaching €23,683 million. Excluding Yeezy, the rise was 13%. The gross margin over the year saw a 3.3 percentage point increase to 50.8%. Additionally, operating profit surged by over €1 billion, totaling €1,337 million compared to €268 million in 2023.
