Advanced Medical Balloons GmbH (AMB), a German-based company, has announced the introduction of its new hygh-tec Odor SolutionTM. This product enhances the company's catheter portfolio, specifically targeting odor reduction in fecal management. The launch is scheduled for Q2 2025 in both the US and Europe.

Having secured FDA clearance and European MDR certification, the hygh-tec Odor SolutionTM is classified as a Class II medical device. It features an innovative polyurethane structure with an additional odor-blocking barrier, designed to improve patient and caregiver experience significantly.

Previous iterations of the hygh-tecTM catheter quickly captured a substantial market share in Germany, highlighting the substantial opportunity in a global market valued over $600 million. AMB aims to replicate this success with its latest offering, capitalizing on established regulatory approvals.
