AIXTRON SE to Provide Nokia with G10-AsP System for Advanced Photonics

Herzogenrath, 1 April 2025 - AIXTRON SE has announced the supply of its G10-AsP system to Nokia. This system will enable the production of 6-inch Indium Phosphide (InP) wafers, enhancing the capabilities of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs).

PICs play a crucial role in modern data communication, 5G, sensing, and AI technologies. The global PIC market is projected to grow from USD 12 billion in 2023 to USD 41 billion by 2031, with an estimated CAGR of 16%.

Nokia remains at the forefront with its PIC-based technology, utilizing high-performance InP to deliver improved scale and performance. The G10-AsP system will provide Nokia with the ability to produce larger wafers with greater uniformity, reducing costs and augmenting technology capabilities.
