Altech Advanced Materials AG Signs LOI for CERENERGY Battery Packs Supply

Altech Advanced Materials AG has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Zweckverband Industriepark Schwarze Pumpe e.V. (ZISP) to supply CERENERGY battery packs. This non-binding agreement involves 30 MWh of energy storage capacity per year for an initial period of five years, starting in mid-2027. The total value of the contract is in the three-digit million range.

Altech will deliver its CERENERGY ceramic solid-state batteries, which are fire and explosion-proof and have a service life of over 15 years. This partnership marks a step towards converting the Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Park to renewable energy, integrating wind and solar energy with Altech's battery storage solutions.

The project supports ZISP’s goal to achieve certification under the EU’s Zero Valley initiative, replacing coal with sustainable energy. Uwe Ahrens from Altech described the LOI as a significant milestone for the company and a signal of growing demand for innovative energy storage solutions.
