Altech Partners with AXSOL for CERENERGY Battery Supply to Defense Sector

Altech Advanced Materials AG has announced a strategic agreement with AXSOL GmbH to supply CERENERGY ceramic solid-state batteries to the Western defense sector and NATO partners. The initial delivery is set for the first quarter of 2027, starting with 10MWh and potentially expanding up to 120MWh annually.

The agreement highlights AXSOL's exclusive rights to distribute CERENERGY batteries for defense applications in NATO countries. Altech's partnership with AXSOL aims to integrate various battery technologies for efficient energy management within the defense sector.

Altech's collaboration with AXSOL marks an expansion in their efforts to supply non-flammable and durable energy storage solutions. This joint venture focuses on the CERENERGY sodium-aluminium oxide solid-state battery, positioned as a fireproof alternative to lithium-ion batteries.
