Amdocs and Microsoft Expand their Partnership in Generative AI for the Telecommunications Sector
Amdocs, a global player in software solutions for communications and media companies, announced on February 26, 2024, from JERSEY CITY, NJ, the extension of its strategic partnership with Microsoft. This development aims to strengthen the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in the telecommunications industry, leveraging Amdocs' amAIz platform and the Microsoft Azure OpenAI service.
The collaboration provides for the creation of a laboratory and center of excellence dedicated to GenAI, to accelerate the development and adoption of this technology by communications service providers (CSPs). Anthony Goonetilleke of Amdocs and Silvia Candiani of Microsoft highlight the importance of this joint venture to transform customer experiences and drive tangible business outcomes through specialized GenAI applications.
This initiative will be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, highlighting the crucial role of generative artificial intelligence in sector innovation and CSP transformation globally.
