Announcing the SHPE 2024 STAR Award Honorees
The prestigious SHPE Technical Achievement and Recognition (STAR) Awards honor leaders in STEM fields dedicated to community outreach, innovation, and research. This year's honorees were selected by a diverse review committee based on specific guidelines and their embodiment of SHPE's mission.
Among the top awards, Wichita State University was named Academic Institution of the Year and Chevron received the Company of the Year award. Other notable winners include Adriana Ocampo Senior from The Boeing Company for the Rodrigo Garcia Founder’s Award and Lauren Ferlita Breitenbach from Northrop Grumman for the Dr. Ellen Ochoa Award.
The 2024 SHPE National Convention, featuring the STAR Award ceremonies, will be held in Anaheim, California from October 30 to November 3. The Excellence in STEM Luncheon is scheduled for October 31, and the STAR Awards Gala will take place on November 1.
