Arbonia AG Reports Steady Revenue and Increased Profit Margins for H1 2024

Arbonia AG has reported its financial results for the first half of 2024. Revenue from continuing operations stood at CHF 278.2 million, a slight decrease from CHF 279.7 million last year, resulting in organic growth of -5.4%. EBITDA saw a significant jump to CHF 47.4 million from CHF 17.5 million, largely due to positive special effects, which contributed CHF 26.2 million.

The company's EBIT moved from a negative CHF -4.1 million last year to CHF 24.3 million this year. The Group's net result post-tax also turned positive, reaching CHF 40.9 million compared to a loss of CHF -2.0 million in the previous year.

In the Doors Division, revenue slightly decreased to CHF 263.6 million from CHF 265.6 million, with organic growth at -6.9%. EBITDA increased to CHF 25.5 million, improving the EBITDA margin to 9.7%. Despite challenging market conditions, particularly in Germany, the company managed to implement growth initiatives and increase prices to maintain its revenue levels.

Acquisitions of Dimoldura and Lignis have diversified Arbonia’s market and product portfolio, contributing significantly to future revenues and margins. The sale of the Climate Division to Midea Group is expected to close in the fourth quarter, aligning with Arbonia’s strategic focus on its doors business.
