ARGAN inaugurates an urban logistics site in Montpellier

At the end of May, ARGAN took delivery of a 4,300 m² logistics site in Castries, near Montpellier. Operated by a major retail player, it is dedicated to e-commerce and home delivery for residents of the Montpellier metropolis, serving its 500,000 residents.

The site, located along the A9 motorway, can deliver Montpellier in 15 minutes and its surroundings in less than an hour. It includes two halls for receiving, storing and shipping goods, with multi-temperature zones for different types of products. A 500 m² office block completes the whole.

The project integrates important ecological aspects, with the deartificialization and renaturation of 3,000 m² of surface area, creating retention basins and green spaces. ARGAN also reused the elements of the deconstructed building, saving 36.7 tonnes of CO2 thanks to the reuse of materials.
