Asklepios Group Announces Positive Q1 Performance and Confident Outlook for 2024
Asklepios Kliniken GmbH & Co. KGaA has reported a robust economic performance for the first quarter of 2024. The group's consolidated revenue increased by 5.4% year-on-year, reaching EUR 1,414.5 million.
During this period, the company treated 919,532 patients, showing a rise in both inpatient and outpatient numbers. Inpatient figures grew by 1.9% to 196,297, and outpatient visits increased by 8.3% to 723,235.
The employee headcount also saw an uptick, averaging 50,272 full-time equivalents, thanks to strategic recruitment initiatives. Consolidated net income rose to EUR 18.5 million, up from EUR 9.2 million in the same period last year.
CEO Marco Walker expressed confidence about the group's future, citing their resilient business strategy and workforce dedication. CFO Hafid Rifi highlighted the group's solid financial foundation and strategic focus on market expansion.
The group continues to advocate for governmental action to support hospital reforms, aiming for improved economic flexibility and first-class healthcare services.
