Aton Announces the Inaugural General Assembly of New JV Company in Egypt
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 4, 2024 / Aton Resources Inc. (TSXV:AAN) announced the inaugural General Assembly of the Abu Marawat Gold Mines Company. The assembly took place at the Ministry of Petroleum in New Capital, Cairo, chaired by H.E. Eng. Tarek el-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
The assembly appointed the directors of Abu Marawat Gold Mines, a joint venture equally owned by Aton and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA). The board includes Cherif Barakat, Robert Parr, Magdy Sayed, and Javier Orduña from Aton. This appointment initiates operations at the Abu Marawat Exploitation Lease.
Tonno Vahk, CEO of Aton, expressed enthusiasm for the new JV operating company. The company, established in January 2024, now becomes operational with the board's appointment. Aton aims to accelerate mine development work at Hamama West.
