Aurubis AG Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Aurubis AG, a global leader in non-ferrous metals, has appointed Steffen Alexander Hoffmann as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2024. Hoffmann will replace Rainer Verhoeven, who will step down on June 30, 2024. The Supervisory Board selected Hoffmann for his extensive experience in international finance, which will support Aurubis AG's ongoing growth strategy and project implementation.

Hoffmann, born in Stuttgart, has a robust background in industrial engineering and business administration, with degrees from Karlsruhe University and the University of Massachusetts. His career began at Mercedes Benz AG, leading to significant roles within the group, including CFO positions in Europe and Asia, before serving as Vice President of Treasury & Investor Relations.
