Aurubis AG Releases Preliminary Results for 2023/24 and Forecast for 2024/25
Hamburg, September 23, 2024 — Aurubis AG has announced preliminary operating earnings before taxes (EBT) of approximately €75 million for Q4 of fiscal year 2023/24, falling short of previous year’s €92 million. The expected full-year operating EBT for 2023/24 stands at around €410 million, an increase from €349 million the previous year.
The Hamburg site experienced technical issues following a maintenance shutdown, impacting smelter utilization and resulting in decreased income. Adverse price expectations and startup costs for strategic projects have led Aurubis to forecast an operating EBT range between €300 million and €400 million for fiscal year 2024/25, compared to the previous forecast of €380 million to €480 million.
Under IFRS, preliminary EBT for 2023/24 is about €530 million, significantly up from €165 million the previous year, with Q4 contributing around €162 million. Final results for Q4 and the outlook are expected on December 5, 2024.
