Avolta Expands in Germany with New Culinary Outlets at Cologne Bonn Airport

Avolta AG has announced a significant expansion of its operations in Europe by securing a contract with Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH to open 17 new food and beverage stores at Cologne Bonn Airport, nestled strategically between Cologne and Bonn, Germany. This move is set to bolster Avolta's engagement with travelers, adding significant value to their travel experience.

The company, a leading global player in the travel experience sector, sees this partnership as a key milestone in its Destination 2027 growth strategy within the EMEA region. The stores, which are expected to start operations in Q4 2024, aim to offer a blend of proprietary and iconic franchise brands, enhancing the gastronomy landscape of Cologne Bonn Airport.

Comments from Walter Seib, CEO of Avolta for Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe, underline the company’s enthusiasm and the collaborative efforts that led to winning this tender. Complementing Avolta's initiative, Thilo Schmid, Chairman of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH, expressed pride in welcoming Autogrill, part of Avolta AG, which stands out for its creative food and beverage concepts.

The new outlets will be spread across Terminals 1 and 2, covering around 3,800 m² and featuring a range of dining options from quick service to table service establishments, equipped with modern ordering systems. This expansion is not just a business growth strategy but is poised to redefine the travel and culinary experience at Cologne Bonn Airport.
