Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft Reports Preliminary H1 Results

Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft has published its preliminary results for the first half of 2024. The company reported a significant increase in its consolidated operating profit (EBIT), which rose by 55% to EUR 5.1 million, compared to EUR 3.3 million in the same period last year. Consolidated EBITDA reached EUR 9.4 million, up from EUR 7.3 million in H1 2023. Revenues remained stable at EUR 88.1 million, just slightly below last year's EUR 89.0 million.

This profitability surge is attributed to strategic price increases and the strong market performance of their new Smoothie Shot product. CEO Oliver Schwegmann noted the success of their "Building BERENTZEN 2028" strategy, achieving key profitability goals. Despite inflation impacts and challenging negotiations, revenue stability was maintained.

Berentzen is also in advanced negotiations to sell its Grüneberg plant, expected to lead to a one-off cost of EUR 4.9 million but provide an annual positive impact of up to EUR 1 million on operating profit.
