Biotest AG Opens 13th Plasma Collection Center in Germany

Biotest AG has inaugurated its 13th plasma collection center in Karlsruhe, Germany. Set up at Europaplatz in Kaiserstrasse 146-148, this state-of-the-art facility allows donors to contribute plasma from Monday to Friday. The center is maintained by 15 dedicated staff and operates under Plasma Service Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Biotest AG.

Henrik Oehme, Managing Director of Plasma Service Europe GmbH, expressed gratitude to the team and local construction firms for their efforts in completing the project. He highlighted the enthusiastic response from Karlsruhe residents who have registered as donors.

An official opening ceremony scheduled for September 25, 2024, will feature representatives from the city and country, alongside patient advocates from dsai e.V., including Silke Junge-Unbehauen, who will share her personal experience with plasma-derived medication.

Biotest aims to expand its plasma collection network further, ensuring a steady supply of plasma for producing life-saving medical treatments. All plasma collected is processed at their German facility in Dreieich, adhering to strict quality standards through regular audits.
