BlackRock exceeds 5% of ALSTOM’s capital
On May 22, 2024, ALSTOM announced that BlackRock, Inc., based in New York, exceeded the thresholds of 5% of the company's capital and voting rights. This declaration, made under the responsibility of the declarant, was received by mail on May 21, 2024 by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF).
BlackRock now holds 19,619,779 ALSTOM shares, which represents 5.11% of the company's capital and voting rights. This crossing results from both on-market and off-market acquisitions of shares, as well as an increase in the number of shares held as collateral.
This increase in power is accompanied by discretionary management of voting rights on the part of the investment manager, unless otherwise requested by clients. BlackRock has, however, excluded from this holding certain shares for which clients retain control of voting rights.
