Borussia Dortmund's First Half Financial Performance 2024/2025

Borussia Dortmund has reported its preliminary financial figures for the first half of the 2024/2025 fiscal year, showing a significant change compared to the previous year. Earnings before taxes (EBT) fell to EUR 8.8 million, a stark drop from the EUR 77.6 million recorded in the same period last year. This decrease is primarily due to a reduction in net transfer income, which fell by EUR 60.2 million.

The club's consolidated net profit also saw a decline, coming in at EUR 7.7 million, compared to EUR 70.6 million last year. Revenue decreased to EUR 244.5 million from EUR 256.5 million. Borussia Dortmund noted that income from international TV marketing is recognized later in the year due to the longer UEFA Champions League league phase.

Personnel expenses decreased by EUR 8.6 million to EUR 118.1 million. Operating expenses increased slightly to EUR 80.5 million. The financial result of the group declined by EUR 2.9 million. A detailed report is expected on 14 February 2025.
