Burkhalter Holding Ltd Secures 117 Jobs in Fribourg

Burkhalter Holding Ltd has announced the formation of two new companies, Bul Elec SA in Bulle and Fri Elec SA in Givisiez, to secure 117 jobs following financial difficulties faced by Etablissements Techniques Fragnière SA (ETF). In a strategic move, Burkhalter will retain all current employees under existing terms, including 32 apprentices.

This acquisition, effective immediately, involves continuing the business operations previously managed by ETF at the same locations. Laurent Murith and Frédéric Bourguet, who were branch managers, will become Managing Directors of Bul Elec SA and Fri Elec SA respectively. Through this initiative, Burkhalter strengthens its presence in the Canton of Fribourg and expands its electrical engineering services portfolio.
