Calvert International AG Acquires Emerging Energy Corporation AG

Calvert International AG, an investment holding company focusing on the African energy sector, has successfully acquired 100% ownership of Emerging Energy Corporation AG (EEC), a company dedicated to developing green energy solutions across Africa. The acquisition was executed via a non-cash capital increase, resulting in a 10% increase in Calvert’s share capital to 1,100,000 euros.

EEC has been active in the African markets, particularly in hydrogen, biogas, and decentralized solar power solutions. This strategic move allows Calvert to significantly expand its influence and operations in the rapidly growing sectors of the African energy market. The initiative marks a significant step towards Calvert's goal of becoming a prominent listed African energy holding company.

Jessica Stang, Head of Business Development at Calvert, emphasized the acquisition's role in fostering further expansion and strengthening their presence across African energy sectors. This acquisition not only boosts Calvert’s portfolio but also enhances its capacities in renewable and off-grid energy solutions in Africa.
