Calvert International AG Completes Acquisition of Emerging Energy Corporation AG

Calvert International AG ("CIAG"), a Frankfurt-based investment holding company focused on the African energy sector, has announced the acquisition of Emerging Energy Corporation AG ("EEC"). This marks a significant expansion into the hydrogen and renewable energy markets in Africa.

EEC is known for its involvement in developing decentralized solar solutions and hydrogen energy projects on the African continent. This acquisition is part of CIAG's strategy to establish itself as a leading listed holding company in the African energy sector. As a result of this transaction, which involved a non-cash capital increase, CIAG's share capital rose from 1,000,000 to 1,100,000 euros or shares.

Jessica Stang, Head of Business Development at CIAG, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, citing it as a pivotal move to escalate CIAG's presence across Africa and participate actively in the continent's growing energy market. The acquisition integrates EEC's strong foothold in the hydrogen and off-grid solar sectors into CIAG's expanding portfolio.
