Casino Group: Sale of stores to Groupement Les Mousquetaires and Auchan Retail France
The Casino group has announced the sale of 66 stores to Groupement Les Mousquetaires and Auchan Retail France. This sale amounts to 213 million euros and follows the agreements concluded on January 24, 2024.
The buyers have undertaken to take over the employment contracts of the transferred employees and to maintain the collective benefits of the Casino group for a minimum of 15 months. They will also promote the internal mobility of Casino employees.
The Casino group also sold its 51% stake in five hypermarkets to Groupement Les Mousquetaires, thus completing a strategy to refocus its activities.
