Citygrove Completes Premier Inn Hotel in Lübeck, Earning BREEAM 'Excellent' Certification

Citygrove Securities PLC has finalised the development of the 'Premier Inn Lübeck City Centre' hotel in Germany. The hotel, located near Lübeck's main railway station, offers 203 rooms and has secured BREEAM certification with an 'excellent' rating. This milestone was achieved through collaboration with general contractor HTG and hotel operator Premier Inn.

Mark Farrugia, Managing Director of Citygrove Germany, highlighted the hotel's prime location near the historic old town and Holsten Gate. He also underscored Citygrove's commitment to sustainable construction and ESG criteria, enhancing both economic efficiency and guest satisfaction.

The project faced unique structural challenges due to its curved street location. Despite these hurdles, the development was completed on schedule, featuring 68 parking spaces, 18 wheelchair-accessible rooms, and other amenities.

Erik Friemuth, CEO of Premier Inn, noted the importance of this hotel for the brand’s expansion in Germany, now operating 57 Premier Inn locations nationwide. The project received local support, contributing to the revitalisation of Lübeck's station area.
