CNP Assurances' Shareholding in CNP UniCredit Vita
CNP Assurances acknowledges UniCredit Board's decision to purchase its shares (51%) in their Italian joint venture, CNP UniCredit Vita (CUV). This option aligns with their current shareholders' agreement. Completion of the transaction awaits regulatory approvals.
In 2023, CUV generated €2.8 billion in premium income (8% of the Group total) and €25 million in profit (1.6% of the Group total). CNP Assurances remains proud of the joint venture's achievements.
CNP Assurances continues to expand in Italy via CNP Vita Assicura, which generated €2.7 billion in premium income (7.5% of the Group total) and €36 million in profit (2.3% of the Group total) in 2023. Around ten commercial agreements in 2024 will consolidate this business further.
CNP Assurances awaits the formalization of UniCredit's announcement.
