Coast2Coast First Aid Marks 10th Anniversary with Free CPR Training

Coast2Coast First Aid and Aquatics is celebrating its 10th anniversary by offering 100 free CPR training sessions to marginalized communities. This initiative aims to equip individuals with essential life-saving skills amidst a rising number of cardiac arrest cases. The training, focusing on groups such as Indigenous, African Canadian communities, and LGBTQ2S+ individuals, underscores the organization's commitment to making CPR accessible to those facing barriers.

Since its inception with a modest financial backing, Coast2Coast has grown significantly, now serving 27 communities in Ontario and Alberta. The organization boasts over 100,000 trained students and numerous accolades from the Canadian Red Cross. While these free trainings don't offer full certification, they teach vital emergency response skills.

Coast2Coast encourages collaboration with local organizations in Ontario and Alberta to maximize the reach of this initiative.
