Deutsche Wohnen Disposes of 27 Nursing Homes and 7 Development Projects
Berlin, October 2, 2024 – Deutsche Wohnen SE has signed an agreement to sell Katharinenhof Group, comprising 27 nursing homes in locations such as Berlin, Hamburg, Brandenburg, and Saxony. The sale, including the operating platform, totals more than EUR 300 million.
The buyer, Civitas Investment Management (CIM) fund in Luxembourg, specializes in investments in social infrastructure in Germany and Europe. Berlin-based TSC Real Estate Real Estate advised CIM. Alloheim Group, Germany's largest private nursing care provider, will manage the operating platform to ensure continued high-quality care.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2024.
Separately, Deutsche Wohnen has agreed to sell seven development projects to a fund managed by HIH Invest Real Estate. The initial transaction closure is also anticipated by the end of 2024.
