DF-Group Acquires Berlin's Vagabund Brewery

DF Deutsche Forfait AG has announced the acquisition of all assets of the insolvent Vagabund Brauerei GmbH. The brewery, located in Berlin since 2011, will be rebranded as Vagabund Brauerei FB GmbH under new management. The existing brewery site at Osram-Höfe and the Berlin-Wedding Taproom will continue operations.

This acquisition marks DF Group's first major M&A deal following its diversification strategy. Vagabund Brewery, known for brewing over 150 types of craft beers, faced insolvency due to high procurement costs and a failed financing round earlier this year.

Hans-Joachim von Wartenberg, a member of DF Group's Management Board, expressed optimism about continuing Vagabund's legacy and expanding its reach beyond Berlin. The new management aims to retain the brewery's traditional values while introducing innovative ideas for growth.
