DWK Deutsche Wasserkraft Announces Capital Increase and Acquisition of Antares Hydropower

DWK Deutsche Wasserkraft AG has announced plans to increase its capital in the near future. The German-Norwegian energy company aims to issue up to 350,000 new shares from authorised capital in exchange for contributions in kind. This decision supports the acquisition of Antares Hydropower Norway AS. Management Board members Jan Erik Schulien and Henning Rath are expected to be admitted to the subscription.

Additionally, DWK will implement a cash capital increase by issuing up to 552,116 new shares. These shares will be offered at a subscription price of EUR 1.60 per share, representing a 40% discount on the latest closing price. The proceeds will aid in the company's structural development.

The acquisition of Antares Hydropower Norway AS will enable DWK to bolster its presence in the European hydropower market. Antares, based in Norway and Germany, is a specialist in hydropower asset management and operations and has significant experience in Norway, Germany, and Austria.
