Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: EPL) and Xcite Resources Inc. (TSX-V: XRI) have released results from the data compilation on the Black Bay uranium project, situated near Uranium City, Saskatchewan. The project includes the former Black Bay Mine and five additional uranium sites. The analysis will influence 2024 fieldwork plans.
The data reveal notable uranium and gold occurrences, with trench samples showing up to 6.51% U3O8 and drilling results of 0.66% U3O8 over 0.3 meters. The property features Beaverlodge-style basement-hosted uranium mineralization.
The Black Bay area has a history of uranium exploration dating back to the 1950s. Previous operators reported high-grade uranium mineralization across various zones, prompting Eagle Plains and Xcite to anticipate further discoveries.
