EcoGraf Achieves Pioneering 99.99% Pure Graphite with HFfree™ Technology

EcoGraf Limited has announced a significant milestone in its proprietary HFfree™ purification process, achieving 99.99% carbon purity in natural spherical graphite (SPG). This achievement surpasses the industry standard of 99.95% carbon purity required by lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle manufacturers. The enhanced purity, known as ‘four nines’ or 4N, is a result of ongoing optimization in the purification process, significantly reducing impurity levels to below 100ppm. These improvements promise to lower both capital and operating costs for EcoGraf.

The breakthrough was achieved at the Product Qualification Facility (PQF), a state-of-the-art facility utilizing EcoGraf HFfree™ technology. The facility is dedicated to producing high-purity battery anode material for the global battery and electric vehicle market. EcoGraf's success in achieving higher-than-required purity levels marks a milestone in the production of anode materials tailored for the evolving demands of the battery industry. This advancement is expected to be incorporated into an independent engineering study benchmarking EcoGraf's HFfree™ process against existing purification technologies.
