Edison Releases Report on Witan Investment Trust (WTAN)
Edison Investment Research Limited has published a report on Witan Investment Trust (LSE: WTAN). In June 2024, Witan Investment Trust and Alliance Trust announced plans for a merger to form Alliance Witan. The combined entity will possess net assets nearing £5bn, providing enhanced liquidity, economies of scale, and potential inclusion in the UK 100 index.
The new Alliance Witan trust aims to offer long-term real returns through capital growth and a rising dividend. It targets to become a primary global equity investment option for retail investors. The transaction is pending shareholder approval, with completion expected by early October.
