ELARIS AG Unveils New Electric Micro-SUV, ELARIS JAO, Expanding Its E-mobility Portfolio

ELARIS AG announced the launch of ELARIS JAO, a new addition to its electric vehicle lineup, set for availability in Germany within the third quarter of the year. This five-seat, five-door electric micro-SUV, produced in collaboration with the Chinese Dayun Group, aligns with ELARIS’s strategy to diversify and enrich its e-mobility offerings. The vehicle boasts advanced digital features and is produced adhering to European safety standards on highly automated assembly lines by Dayun Group.

The JAO model is distinguished by its digital capabilities, including smartphone app-based locking and unlocking, and fully automated external parking functions. It emphasizes sustainability, incorporating vegan leather for its interior design. With a driving range of 215 kilometers, extendable up to 300 kilometers in urban settings, and a competitive price under EUR 25,000, the ELARIS JAO aims to make electric mobility accessible to a broader audience.

ELARIS AG’s CEO, Lars Stevenson, emphasized the vehicle’s affordability, modern design, and digital integrations as pivotal attributes that address market gaps in affordable e-mobility solutions, furthering the adoption of electric vehicles in Germany. The company has announced that pre-orders for the JAO will commence in the coming weeks ahead of its market introduction.
