ENCAVIS Acquires Solar Projects in Italy

Encavis AG, based in Hamburg, has acquired two ready-to-build solar projects in Cobu and Massarenti, Italy, enhancing its renewable energy portfolio. These projects, sourced from Hive Energy and Sunleonard Energy, promise a generation capacity of 18.4 megawatts. The construction, undertaken by Ethical Power Italia, is set to commence soon, with completion anticipated by the end of 2025. Once operational, the sites are expected to generate approximately 28 GWh of green electricity annually.

Mario Schirru, Encavis' CIO/COO, emphasized the strategic advantages in proximity to industrial Power Purchase Agreement offtakers. The collaboration follows successful ventures in Spain and marks a broader geographical reach. Giles Redpath, CEO of Hive Energy, highlights the strong partnership with Encavis, celebrating Hive's expansion within Italy. Stefano Salerno of Sunleonard expressed pride in bringing these developments to Ferrara, foreseeing more projects in the region.
