Energiekontor AG Issues Sustainable Corporate Bond for Renewable Projects

German company Energiekontor AG has launched a sustainable corporate bond targeting 20 million euros. The bond offers an annual interest rate of 5.25% over a seven-year term. Institutional and private investors have until January 2025 to subscribe, with 75% of the bond already placed. Energiekontor, a leader in wind and solar parks, aims to use this financing for projects across Germany, the UK, France, Portugal, and the USA.

The bond has gained recognition with an ECOreporter seal, affirming its sustainable credentials. The funds will support interim financing for new energy projects, contributing to Energiekontor's extensive project pipeline of 12 gigawatts. Already, 1 gigawatt of projects has secured permits, with 370 megawatts underway.
