Energiekontor AG Launches Sustainable Bond for Renewable Projects

Energiekontor AG, a prominent German developer and operator of wind and solar parks, is issuing a sustainable corporate bond with a target volume of €20 million. This bond is available for subscription by both institutional and private investors until January 2024, with 75% already placed. Offering an annual interest rate of 5.25% over seven years, the bond aligns with Germany's increasing share of renewable energy consumption, now exceeding 50%.

The funds raised aim to finance new wind and solar projects across Germany, the UK, France, Portugal, and the US. Energiekontor's project pipeline has expanded to 12 gigawatts, featuring a mix of onshore wind and solar projects, with permits for more than one gigawatt and 370 megawatts currently under construction or financially secured.
