EnviTec Biogas Announces Market Entry in Sweden: 400 Nm³/h EnviThan Gas Upgrading Plant Enters Commissioning Phase

EnviTec Biogas AG has taken a significant step by entering the Swedish market with its EnviThan gas upgrading system. The system, known for its effectiveness in converting biogas into biomethane, has been launched at Vårgårda-Herrljunga Biogas AB’s facility. The new plant has a rated capacity of 402 Nm³ per hour of biomethane, expandable to 566 Nm³ per hour.

The biogas plant adheres to DIN standards for vehicle fuel. Maurice Markerink, Managing Director of EnviTec Plant Construction, highlights the decision for EnviThan technology based on its efficiency and quality. The system features a skid-based raw gas upgrading setup, plus a two-stage gas cooling system and EnviTec Remote controls.

Biomethane produced can be utilized similarly to natural gas. The process, developed with Evonik Industries, is eco-friendly, needing no chemicals or water. This marks EnviTec’s ongoing strategy to strengthen its presence in Europe, enhancing its reputation in the renewable energy sector.
