Family of Late WyoTech Graduate Donates $200,000 in Scholarships

The family of Jared T.F. Alery, a dedicated CAT Marine Diesel Technician, is honoring his legacy by establishing a scholarship for WyoTech students through the LoveTrades Foundation.

Jared Alery chose WyoTech over a traditional college in 2012, developing a deep passion for diesel technology. He graduated with perfect attendance, highest honors, and as a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Jared quickly advanced in his career at NC Machinery, a CAT dealer in the Northwest.

Sadly, Jared passed away in August 2023. His family decided to honor his memory by creating a $200,000 endowment scholarship. This scholarship supports students pursuing Advanced Diesel and Management degrees at WyoTech.

Pat Altenburg, Executive Director of LoveTrades, remarked that the foundation is pleased to offer scholarships over the next five years, continuing Jared's legacy of excellence, passion, and commitment in the field.
