Galenica Increases Stake in Redcare Pharmacy to 10%
Galenica AG has increased its shareholding in Redcare Pharmacy N.V. to 10%. The company informed the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) about this development on July 22, 2024.
Previously, Galenica held a 7.9% stake in Redcare Pharmacy since the establishment of their joint venture, Mediservice, in May 2023. This increase in participation aims to strengthen its partnership with Redcare Pharmacy. Galenica sees positive growth in Europe's leading online pharmacy and plans to maintain its investment in the long term.
Additionally, by increasing its stake to over 10%, Galenica will benefit from tax-free dividends and capital gains in the future. However, there are currently no plans to further increase their investment beyond 10%.
