GECU Wins Prestigious 2024 CUNA Diamond Award for Branch Transformation with DBSI

DBSI has proudly announced their client, GECU, as a recipient of the 2024 Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Diamond Award in the "Point of Sale Display and Retail Merchandising" category. This accolade was in recognition of the innovative design and functionality of the GECU Neighborhood BranchSM, located at Rojas and Eastlake in East El Paso, Texas.

The transformation of the 2,200-square-foot branch, a collaborative effort between GECU and DBSI, was part of GECU's expansion strategy. Aiming for innovation, member-focus, and a digitally forward approach, the project has clearly struck a chord, receiving wide appreciation from GECU members for its unique and seamless experience.

The award was presented at the annual Marketing & Business Development Council Conference recognition dinner in Las Vegas. This year's competition was notably fierce, with a record 1,451 entries competing across 37 categories. The Neighborhood BranchSM focuses on both convenience and accessibility, featuring drive-up lanes and 24/7 teller services as well as indoor assistance for various banking needs.

Opened in March 2023, the GECU branch aims to serve the Far East community of El Paso, reflecting a modern vision for the future of banking. This recognition at the CUNA Diamond Awards emphasizes DBSI's significant contribution to redefining banking experiences through its innovative design and technology integration.
