Georges Mikautadze back at OL until 2028

Lyon, July 18, 2024, 6:00 p.m. - Olympique Lyonnais announces the return of Georges Mikautadze. The Georgian international striker has signed a four-year contract, binding him to the club until June 30, 2028. The transaction with FC Metz amounts to €18.5 million, with price supplements of up to €4.5 million. M€, and a potential profit-sharing on a future transfer of 1 M€ and 15% of the capital gain.

Georges Mikautadze confirmed his talent with Georgia, totaling 29 caps and 13 goals. He recently made history by reaching the round of 16 of the Euros, finishing top scorer with three goals in four matches. Born in Gerland in October 2000, he played for OL until he was 15 before joining FC Metz.

Very popular, Mikautadze has always favored OL. His attachment to the club and his determination will be assets for future challenges. Currently on vacation after his Euro, he will join the team on July 27 after the pre-season training camp in Austria.
