GETLINK Shuttle Traffic – April 2024 Report
In April 2024, GETLINK noted a 3% increase in truck traffic by its shuttles, with a total of 101,250 units compared to 98,737 in April 2023. Since January, cumulative attendance reached 403,051 trucks, marking a decline of 4 % compared to the previous year. These figures suggest variations in freight transport needs across the Channel.
Furthermore, passenger vehicle traffic experienced a significant drop of 19% in April 2024, with 173,058 vehicles transported, compared to 214,973 in April 2023. This decrease is mainly attributed to the shift of the Easter weekend to March 2024 , negatively influencing the usual April traffic. The total since January also shows an 8% drop, totaling 554,377 vehicles.
The results for May 2024 will be published on June 11, before the stock market opens.
