“Grand Huangshan” Shines at the United Nations: Anhui Cultural and Tourism Promotion Events Held in Switzerland and Belgium

The "Wonderful Anhui in Dialogue with the World" 2024 Anhui Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference was held on September 16 at the Palais des Nations, United Nations Office at Geneva. More than 100 diplomats, including ambassadors from over 30 countries and UN representatives, attended.

Keynote speakers included Sun Yong, Vice Governor of Anhui Province, Ambassador Chen Xu, and Francesco Pisano, Chairman of the United Nations Cultural Committee in Geneva. The event was chaired by Wang Chunming.

The conference highlighted Anhui's integration of culture, wellness, and tourism to establish the Grand Huangshan region as a world-class destination. This initiative aims to preserve cultural heritage and promote global sustainability and inclusivity. Anhui looks to strengthen international cultural exchange and shared development.

Zhou Mingjie introduced Anhui's tourism offerings, while Wang Huixiao promoted wellness industries. Artisans from three renowned Anhui tea companies showcased traditional teas. Guests received traditional Hui-style fish lanterns as souvenirs.

The promotion symposium was also successfully held on September 12 at the European Travel Commission in Brussels, Belgium.
