Grande Portage Resources Develops Conceptual Mining Plan
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 9, 2024 / Grande Portage Resources Ltd. (TSXV:GPG)(OTCQB:GPTRF)(FSE:GPB) announces a new Conceptual Mining Plan for its Herbert Gold project in SE Alaska. The project is now named the "New Amalga Mine Project".
The Company has engaged OreLogic LLC, led by Kyle Mehalek, to assist in developing the plan. The New Amalga Mine will utilize a selective underground mining operation with an off-site processing strategy. This approach eliminates the need for on-site tailings and waste rock storage facilities, uses no gold processing reagents, and significantly reduces the environmental footprint. The plan also simplifies post-mining closure and de-risks the permitting process.
Ian Klassen, President and CEO, commented on key milestones, stating the updated resource estimate confirms the deposit's growth and potential for future expansion. The company aims to advance the project using a Direct Shipping Ore platform.
