Grid Battery Metals Completes Phase 1 of Clayton Valley Lithium Project Exploration

COQUITLAM, BC / ACCESSWIRE / May 30, 2024 / Grid Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV:CELL)(OTCQB:EVKRF)(FRA:NMK2) announced the completion of the first phase of its 2024 exploration program at the Clayton Valley Lithium Property near Silver Peak, Nevada. The phase included detailed infill soil sampling and a Magnetotelluric (MT) geophysical survey.

Rangefront Geological was contracted to perform the soil sampling and oversee the MT survey, executed by KLM Geoscience LLC. The sampling is now complete, with samples sent to the assay lab for analysis. These surveys aim to predict geological structures and potential lithium accumulations, aiding in future exploration planning, including a possible drilling program.

Tim Fernback, Grid’s President & CEO, stated that the team will interpret the latest geological data and soil assay results to plan subsequent steps. This may involve creating a 3D Leapfrog model and further drilling later this year to test lithium-bearing claystone depths.

The completion of this phase complements previous exploratory work focusing on testing for lithium-bearing clay in the lakebed sediments of the property through soil sampling and initial drilling programs.

The Clayton Valley Lithium Project is strategically located near North America’s only lithium brine producer. This new data, combined with previous finds, will help determine the project's next steps.
