Groupe Berkem Announces Financial Results for 2023 and Q1 2024
Groupe Berkem, a leader in bio-based chemistry, disclosed its financial outcomes for the year ending December 31, 2023, revealing a revenue of €51.9 million, with an 11.4% EBITDA margin and a net income of €0.4 million. This financial performance reflects stability in revenue, with a slight growth of 0.7% compared to 2022. Additionally, the revenue from international activities constituted 28% of the total revenue.
The company also reported its first-quarter revenue for 2024 as €13.2 million, marking a 9.1% decrease from the previous year. This decline was primarily in the ‘Construction & Materials’ and ’Hygiene & Protection’ sectors, influenced by the ongoing slowdown in the construction industry both in France and globally.
Despite these challenges, Groupe Berkem maintains its future financial targets for 2025 and 2027, aiming for a revenue of at least €85 million and an EBITDA margin of around 25% by 2027, respectively.
