Heimo Scheuch Appointed President of Cerame-Unie

Heimo Scheuch, CEO of Wienerberger, has been appointed as the president of Cerame-Unie, the European Ceramic Industry Association. This decision was made by the Cerame-Unie Board of Presidents and will be effective from January 1, 2025. Scheuch aims to strengthen the global competitiveness of the EU ceramic industry, emphasizing the need for support from the European Union and its Member States.

Cerame-Unie, based in Brussels, is a key player in the European ceramic industry, representing sectors ranging from construction products to industrial processes. The organization supports 200,000 direct jobs and contributes significantly to the European construction industry. Under Scheuch's leadership, Cerame-Unie released a new position paper titled “The Clean Industrial Deal,” which outlines strategies for a sustainable and competitive ceramic industry.
