HyProMag Highlights Recycling Innovations at Brussels Forum
HyProMag Ltd., a subsidiary of Mkango Resources and CoTec Holdings Corp., presented its pioneering rare earth magnet recycling projects at the Minerals Security Partnership meeting in Brussels. The event, attended by multiple governments and the European Commission, aimed at reinforcing critical mineral supply chains globally.
HyProMag is advancing the commercialization of its patented Hydrogen Processing of Magnet Scrap (HPMS) technology in the UK and Germany by 2025, and the USA by 2027. This technology offers significant advantages over existing recycling methods, addressing key challenges in extracting magnets from end-of-life products.
The MSP identified HyProMag as a pivotal project, highlighting its potential contribution to sustainable mineral sourcing. Collaborations for further expansion, including a partnership with Envipro in Japan, are underway to broaden its recycling capabilities.
