KION GROUP AG's Climate Goals Validated by Science Based Targets Initiative

KION GROUP AG's climate goals have been successfully validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Confirmed targets include near-term reductions by 2030 and long-term aspirations for 2050. These targets align with KION's commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain.

The SBTi provides a framework for setting and verifying climate targets that support the Paris Agreement's aim of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. KION's strategy involves reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and lowering emissions from product usage in Scope 3 by 25% by 2030.

Moving forward, KION aims for a 90% reduction in all scopes by 2050, seeking to cooperate closely with suppliers and customers. The company's approach includes transitioning to renewable energy sources and enhancing energy efficiency in its operations and supply chain.
